      Evercoast Passage Gravel

      $2,999.95

Built for the road that turns to gravel and keeps going.

The Passage Gravel is the drop bar all-road bicycle in the Evercoast lineup - a chromoly steel bike built for the kind of riding that does not commit to one surface. The pavement out of Kitsilano. The gravel connector through Pacific Spirit. The forestry road off Cypress that you have been meaning to explore for two years. The Passage Gravel handles all of it without asking you to choose, and without making you feel like you brought the wrong bike.

The Gravel Position - Engaged but Not Punishing
The Passage Gravel ships with a neutral stem position - more committed than the upright Touring setup, more relaxed than a performance race position. You are leaning into the bike with purpose without being flattened onto the bars. The drop bar gives you multiple hand positions to work with as the terrain changes - hoods on the gravel climb, drops on the fast descent, tops on the long flat road sections between. Over a four or five hour mixed-surface day, that range of positions is one of the most important features on the bike.

It is a position that experienced gravel riders will feel immediately at home in, and one that new drop bar riders will find approachable without feeling like they are being asked to commit to a race bike posture.

The Right Tire for Where You Are Going
Gravel riding in the Pacific Northwest covers a wider range of surfaces than most other places - packed forestry roads, loose rocky singletrack connectors, wet urban paths, and everything in between. The correct tire depends on where you are actually going, which is why the Passage Gravel does not ship with a single mandated tire. You choose from our current range of gravel tires - including the Maxxis Rambler, the Panaracer GravelKing+, and the CST Tirent - based on your terrain, your preference for speed versus traction, and whether you want a tanwall aesthetic or a blacked-out build.

We will help you choose the right tire at the time of order. If you are not sure, come into the workshop and we will talk through the options based on where you are actually planning to ride.

The Passage frame clears up to 40C - enough for a proper gravel tire that provides meaningful cushioning and traction on loose surfaces without sacrificing the rolling efficiency that makes a gravel bike enjoyable on the road sections between.

4130 Chromoly - The Gravel Material
There is a reason gravel bikes keep coming back to steel. 4130 chromoly absorbs the sustained vibration of rough terrain progressively rather than transmitting it directly - over a long day on loose gravel, that compliance is felt in your hands, your lower back, and your energy levels at the end of the ride. It is not a soft or vague feeling - triple-butted tube construction means the frame is stiff where it needs to be and compliant where you feel it. Steel does not fatigue the way aluminium does under repeated impact loads, and it does not require a specialist to assess after an off or a hard landing.

The Passage frame is heat-treated after welding - a step that produces a more consistent, longer-lasting frame that responds predictably across its entire working life.

Brakes: Hydraulic or Mechanical, Both Done Properly
The Passage Gravel is available with either hydraulic disc brakes or TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes with Jagwire KEB-SL compressionless housing. Hydraulic brakes deliver consistent, modulated stopping power in all conditions with minimal maintenance overhead - the right choice for most riders. The TRP Spyre mechanical option with KEB-SL housing is a deliberate and capable alternative for riders who want a fully cable-actuated system that can be serviced anywhere with basic tools. Both are the correct specification for a gravel bike used in real conditions.

      Multiple Drivetrain Options
The Passage Gravel is available across multiple drivetrain specifications - from the Sensah SRX Pro 1x11 entry build through to Shimano CUES LinkGlide and Shimano GRX. All builds use a 1x drivetrain configuration - one chainring, wide-range cassette, no front derailleur to manage on technical terrain. The wide gear range covers steep climbs under load and fast flat riding without compromise.

All builds share the same frame, wheel specification, and assembly process at the Evercoast workshop. The drivetrain changes. The bike does not.

      Built and Certified in Vancouver
Every Passage Gravel is assembled by hand at 1737 Fir Street and put through the Evercoast 50-Point Technical Certification before it leaves. Frame alignment verified. Every bearing surface greased. Every bolt torqued to specification. Then ridden before it goes out the door.

      Available in four sizes — 50, 53, 56, 59cm.
