A special 4-ply casing paired with K-Shield sub-tread puncture protection results in a load capacity of 150kg per tire and a level of durability that standard commuter tires simply cannot match. If your eBike carries passengers, cargo, groceries, or tools every day in Vancouver conditions, this is the tire that belongs on it.

4-Ply Casing — Heavy Duty Construction
Where a standard eBike commuter tire uses a 2-ply casing, the Drumlin Cargo uses a 4-ply construction — double the casing layers, meaningfully more resistant to sidewall cuts, pinch flats, and the sustained stress that heavy loads place on a tire over time. A 4-ply casing resists deformation under load, maintaining a consistent contact patch and predictable handling characteristics even when the bike is carrying significant weight. Aramid fibres resist penetration from sharp objects — glass, thorns, nails, and the debris that accumulates in Vancouver bike lanes year-round. For a loaded cargo eBike where a rear hub motor flat means unloading the bike, removing the wheel with a heavy motor, and fixing the flat before reloading — puncture protection is not optional. Kenda's Standard Rubber Compound combines low rolling resistance, extreme durability, and tread longevity in a formulation designed to outlast standard rubber compounds in daily commuting use. On a heavy loaded eBike where tire wear accelerates due to the additional mass and braking frequency, compound durability matters more than on any other type of bicycle.

Reflective Sidewall — Visible at Night

60 TPI Wire Bead — Robust and Reliable
60 TPI wire bead construction provides a reliable, durable casing at a practical price point. Wire bead holds its shape during installation and mounts cleanly on standard 27.5" rims. A clincher tire requiring a standard 27.5" inner tube. Note that the stiffer 4-ply casing may require slightly more effort to seat on the rim than a standard 2-ply tire — standard tire levers and correct technique handle it without issue at the workshop.

27.5" / 650B wheels: fits standard 27.5" rims. Compatible with RadWagon, RadCity 5 Plus, Radster Road, and most hub motor eBikes running 27.5" wheels.

Inner tube included: a 48mm Schrader valve inner tube is included with this tyre. Ready to install.

Load rating:150kg per tire. Suitable for cargo eBikes, tandem-style eBikes, and heavily loaded commuter eBikes. Both tires together support a combined maximum of 300kg — bike, rider, and cargo.

eBike speed rating: E25 certified. Designed for cargo and commuter eBikes operating in normal urban conditions. The 4-ply construction provides a more robust casing than most E50 certified 2-ply commuter tyres.
