Minoura EMB-2B Stainless Steel Bottle Cage Extension Mount

The simple solution to the bottle cage problem. The EMB-2B attaches to your existing downtube bottle cage bosses and extends the mounting area toward the head tube, adding two additional bottle cage mounting positions without drilling, welding, or modifying the frame. Up to three bottles on the downtube. Particularly useful when a frame bag occupies the main triangle and pushes your bottle cage forward: a common bikepacking and touring problem that the Bottle Mule solves cleanly.

Expands Carrying Capacity Without Modifying Your Frame
The EMB-2B mounts directly to standard M5 bottle cage bosses, the same threaded inserts that your existing bottle cage uses. No tools beyond a standard hex wrench. No permanent modification to the frame. Remove it when you do not need it, reinstall it when you do. The slide system allows you to adjust the fore and aft position to keep bottles clear of your knees on the downstroke: a detail that matters on frames where bottle placement and pedal clearance are in conflict.

SUS304 Stainless Steel & Weather Resistant
The body is SUS304 stainless steel with a hairline finish, the same grade of stainless used in marine hardware and surgical instruments. Rust-resistant in sustained wet conditions, which in Vancouver means it will outlast the frame it is bolted to. At 148 grams it adds negligible weight for the carrying capacity it provides.

Velcro Security Belt: Stability Under Load
A Velcro security belt wraps around the frame tube and prevents the mount from rotating under load - particularly relevant on a loaded touring build where the additional weight of two full bottles creates real lateral force on the mount. The belt protects the frame surface and keeps everything stable on rough terrain.

Frame Protection Built In
Rubber grommets at every contact point protect the frame from scratches and vibration marks: a necessary detail on a chromoly steel frame where paint protection matters for longevity.
