Crane E-NE Bell

Where the Suzu is Crane's classic dome bell, the E-NE is their more versatile option: a compact 37mm dome bell with an adjustable clamp band that fits handlebars from 22.2mm to 31.8mm, making it compatible with every bar diameter in your lineup from flat bar commuters to 31.8mm drop bar cockpits. The wider clamp range also means it can be positioned almost anywhere on the handlebar: on top in the conventional position, or rotated in front of the bar for a lower, less visible profile that suits riders who want the function without the visual presence.

The E-NE produces the same clear, resonant tone that Crane is known for: a sound that carries further and fades more gracefully than a standard ping bell, and that reads as a polite announcement rather than a demand to get out of the way. The brass dome versions resonate longer and produce a warmer, deeper tone than the aluminium dome variants. No plastic parts anywhere in the construction. Stainless steel mount and springs throughout for rust resistance in wet conditions.

The hammer is cleverly designed in its resting position it does not contact the bell, which means vibration from riding will not cause it to rattle or gradually wear the paint off the dome. A small detail that reveals the thought behind the product.

In independent testing the E-NE is consistently compared favourably to the Spurcycle, the benchmark premium bicycle bell, at a significantly lower price point. The build quality, tone, and mounting system are genuinely comparable. Riders who buy one rarely go back to a standard bell.
