The HD-M275 is their flat bar hydraulic disc brake set for mountain, commuter, hybrid, and eBike applications. Tektro brakes deliver rock solid performance and predictable braking control without breaking the bank. The design allows for easy installation, adjustment, and maintenance. This listing includes both front and rear brake sets plus 160mm rotors: everything you need for a complete hydraulic disc brake installation. 

Dual-Piston Hydraulic Caliper, Consistent Power in All Conditions: The dual-piston hydraulic design delivers smooth, powerful braking with minimal finger effort compared to cable-actuated brakes. Both pistons move simultaneously toward the rotor from each side: even pad contact, even wear, and consistent modulation throughout the life of the pad. The HD-M275 features solid modulation and has received positive user feedback on performance and reliability across varied terrain and conditions. 

Ergonomic Two-Finger Lever Reach Adjustable: The ergonomic lever is designed for comfortable two-finger operation, reducing hand fatigue on long descents. The lever also includes a reach adjustment screw, allowing you to position the lever blade perfectly for your hand size. The stroke adjustment allows you to fine-tune the lever reach to your preference for optimal comfort and control. Open Mineral Oil System, Easy to Maintain: The open system design utilizes non-corrosive and environmentally friendly mineral oil, simplifying the bleeding process and ensuring long-term durability and easy servicing. Mineral oil is gentler on seals and hose materials than DOT fluid, does not absorb moisture at the same rate, and is safer to handle during maintenance. The open system design means air bleeds out naturally rather than requiring a pressurized bleed kit: straightforward for a competent home mechanic and quick work at the workshop. 

Pre-Bled Install and Ride: The HD-M275 ships pre-bled and ready to install. Attach the levers to the bars, mount the calipers to the frame and fork, cut the hoses to length, and connect — no bleed required out of the box. The rear brake is supplied as a J-kit for easy rear cable routing and set up — the brake comes with the lever disconnected from the hydraulic line to allow for easy and mess-free installation in frames with integrated routing. The system is already bled and does not need a re-bleed once fitted.

Tektro Rotors Included 160mm Front and Rear: Unlike many brake listings that require separate rotor purchases, this set includes Tektro 160mm rotors for both front and rear wheels. Everything you need for a complete hydraulic disc brake installation is in the box: no additional purchases required to get riding. Compatibility Notes

Flat bar levers only: the HD-M275 uses a flat bar lever. Not compatible with drop bar builds. For drop bar hydraulic disc brakes see the Shimano GRX RX400 or CUES U6030 in our range.

Post mount calipers: compatible with post mount frames and forks directly. For IS mount frames and forks, an IS-to-PM adapter is required. For flat mount frames, a post-to-flat mount adapter is required.

Mineral oil only: do not use DOT fluid in this system. Shimano mineral oil is fully compatible and available at the workshop.

Right rear / left front: right hand lever operates the rear brake, left hand lever operates the front brake. Standard Canadian and North American configuration.

Pad replacement: standard replacement pads are Tektro E10.11 organic compound. Metal-ceramic compound pads (A10.11 or P20.11) are also compatible for wet conditions or heavier use.
