Teravail Rampart 700x32C Tubeless Ready, Durable, Tan Wall

$79.95

The all-road tire for riders who refuse to turn around when the pavement ends. The Rampart is Teravail's benchmark mixed-surface tire — built for minimum maintenance roads, decaying pavement, hardpack gravel, and everything connecting them. Fast enough on tarmac to keep pace on road rides. Confident enough off it to handle the unpredictable. Tubeless ready, durable casing, tan wall finish. The tire that does not ask you to plan your route around it.

Centre Slick: Fast on Pavement
A smooth, fast-rolling centreline runs the full width of the contact patch on pavement — no knob drag, no rolling resistance penalty for the road sections between gravel. The Rampart rolls with genuine efficiency on tarmac, which matters on a tire that will spend a significant portion of its life getting you to and from the interesting bits. Teravail calls it a Fast compound — formulated for lower rolling resistance without sacrificing the tread longevity that a daily-use all-road tire demands.

3-2-1 Graduated Siping — Traction Where You Need It
Triple siping on the transition and side lugs — three sipes graduating to two to one as they move toward the centreline — provides traction on hardpack gravel, light dirt, and the unpredictable surfaces that minimum maintenance roads deliver. The siping bites into loose material and sheds debris without the height of a full knob pattern that would slow the tire down on pavement. BikeRadar noted the Rampart gripped faultlessly on hardpack dirt and light gravel while showing no signs of tread wear after extended testing. The tread design is the engineering behind that result.

Durable Casing: Aramid Reinforced
The Durable casing adds a layer of woven aramid fibre reinforcement between the tread and the casing — bead to bead protection against the punctures and abrasion cuts that rough road surfaces inflict on a standard single-ply tire. Not as light as the Light and Supple variant, but meaningfully more resistant to the sidewall cuts and debris penetration that daily mixed-surface riding accumulates. Tread and sidewall flat protection throughout. For a tire used on minimum maintenance roads where sharp gravel edges and road debris are a daily reality, the Durable casing is the correct choice.

120 TPI: Supple and Responsive
The updated 120 TPI casing is a meaningful improvement over previous generations — higher thread count means a more supple casing that flexes with the road surface rather than fighting it, improving ride quality and rolling efficiency simultaneously. The Rampart rides noticeably smoother at 120 TPI than earlier 60 TPI versions, particularly at the lower pressures that tubeless running enables.

Tubeless Ready: Set It and Forget It
Folding TCS bead, sealant-optimised casing, recommended rim internal width of 21–27mm with 23mm optimal. Mount tubeless with sealant and run 40–55 PSI for a larger contact patch, more traction on loose surfaces, and the self-sealing protection against small punctures that makes a tubeless setup genuinely different from a tubed one. The Rampart's tubeless setup has a reputation for being straightforward — it seats easily and holds air consistently.

Tan Wall: The Rampart Aesthetic
The tan sidewall is the Rampart's most recognisable visual feature — a warm, natural rubber tone that develops subtle character with use and pairs naturally with the chromoly steel and leather aesthetic of a well-built all-road build. Clean, classic, and entirely appropriate on a tire designed for the kind of riding that has no interest in being flashy about it.
