TuffTex+Enhanced Puncture Protection:
Where the standard GravelKing uses TuffTex construction, the GravelKing+ steps up to TuffTex+ — an upgraded version that adds an additional protective layer for even better puncture resistance, particularly against the side cuts that aggressive gravel and loose rocky terrain inflict on sidewalls. The extra layer maintains the suppleness and ride quality of the TuffTex casing while meaningfully increasing durability on challenging gravel paths. The + in GravelKing+ refers specifically to this additional protection layer — not simply a wider tyre, but a more durable one.

ZSG Gravel Compound Speed and Grip Together:
The ZSG Gravel Compound builds on Panaracer's proven ZSG Natural Compound and applies a specialised gravel formulation that reduces rolling resistance on hardpack and pavement without sacrificing the traction needed when the surface turns loose or wet. The result is a compound that rolls efficiently on the road sections between gravel, bites predictably on loose ground, and does not require you to choose between speed and grip.

BeadLock Technology Tubeless Setup Made Easy:
The bead area has been completely redesigned with Panaracer's BeadLock technology — an innovative approach that makes rim installation easier and more secure for tubeless mounting. The GravelKing+ seats reliably on first inflation in our workshop experience, holds pressure without seeping sealant through the sidewall, and stays seated under the pressure variations that come with temperature changes on long rides.

Folding Bead is Light, Packable:
The folding aramid bead keeps weight manageable and allows the tyre to be folded flat for carrying as a spare on longer adventures. At 450g (40C) and 520g (45C) the GravelKing+ is not the lightest tyre in its class — the TuffTex+ protection layer adds meaningful weight — but it is competitive for a tyre at this durability level.

Brown Wall - The Classic Aesthetic:
The brown wall finish is a deliberate nod to the natural rubber construction of early performance cycling tyres — a look that has become associated with quality, character, and a certain unhurried confidence on the bike. On a chromoly steel gravel build in particular, the brown wall is the correct aesthetic choice.

Tubeless Ready - Lower Pressure, Fewer Flats:
Set up tubeless with sealant and run lower pressures for better traction, improved comfort over rough terrain, and self-sealing protection against small punctures. At 40C and 45C widths, lower pressure tubeless running transforms how the bike feels on gravel — the tyre conforms to the surface rather than bouncing off it. Required: tubeless-compatible rims, tubeless valves, and liquid sealant — sold separately.

700x40C — the sweet spot for most gravel builds. Wide enough for meaningful cushioning and traction on rough terrain, narrow enough for efficient road riding between gravel sections. Compatible with most gravel frames including the Evercoast Passage (max 40C) and Passage Pro (max 45C).

700x45C — for riders who prioritize comfort, traction, and confidence on rougher terrain. Requires 45mm clearance — confirm frame and fork clearance before ordering. Fits the Evercoast Passage Pro.

Compatibility Notes

Tubeless setup required items: Tubeless-compatible rims, tubeless valve stems, and liquid tyre sealant. All sold separately — ask at the workshop and we will confirm what you need for your specific wheels.
