At 43 grams it is exceptionally light for a stainless cage, and the minimalist tubular construction is the kind of detail that cyclists who pay attention to their builds notice and appreciate.

The cage can be gently squeezed inward or expanded outward to dial in the fit for your preferred bottle. The standard bottle diameter is 74mm but the Moderniste handles bottles a few millimetres either side of that without issue, making it compatible with most standard cycling water bottles, stainless steel bottles, and slightly oversized flasks. A Note on Use.
The Moderniste is a road and touring cage. The tubular stainless construction is elegant and entirely adequate for road, gravel, and commuter use. For aggressive off-road use or bikepacking on rough terrain where the cage takes significant lateral impact, a burlier cage is the more appropriate choice.
