MSW EVA HBT-100 Bar Tape

The workshop bar tape. The MSW HBT-100 is a traditional EVA foam bar tape used by service departments across North America for a straightforward reason — it is comfortable, easy to install, durable, and available in a wide range of colours at a price that makes replacing it a non-event. Not the most premium tape on the shelf, but a genuinely good tape that does its job reliably and looks clean on the bike.

EVA Foam. Comfortable and Shock Absorbent.
EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) is a closed-cell foam that provides consistent cushioning and vibration damping across the full length of the bar. It does not compress permanently under hand pressure the way cheaper foams do, maintaining its shape and cushioning properties through extended use. The material is weather-resistant and holds up to the sustained moisture exposure of year-round riding without deteriorating or becoming sticky.

Adhesive Backing. Stays Put During and After Installation.
The adhesive backing keeps the tape in position during wrapping, eliminating the shifting and bunching that adhesive-free tapes are prone to on the first wrap attempt. Once installed the tape stays put through wet rides, hard efforts, and the inevitable moments when you grab the bar with greasy or muddy hands.

Flexible. Wraps Cleanly.
The EVA foam has enough flexibility to wrap cleanly around the curves of the bar and lever clamp areas without tearing or bunching. At 200cm per roll it provides enough length to cover most standard drop bars with room for overlap at the lever clamp area.
