Senicx PR3 Road/Gravel Crankset 1x Direct Mount

The crankset that performs above its price point without apology. The Senicx PR3 is a purpose-built 1x road and gravel crankset machined from high-grade aluminium alloys — forged AL-6061-T6 crank arms and an AL-7075-T6 direct mount narrow-wide chainring, the same alloy specifications used in significantly more expensive cranksets from major brands. Independent testing has placed it within 10 grams of a Shimano 105 crankset in weight with comparable finish quality. For a 1x gravel or all-road build where a quality crankset at a realistic price is the goal, the PR3 is the correct choice.

AL-6061-T6 Crank Arms. AL-7075-T6 Chainring.
The two alloys work together for a specific reason. AL-6061-T6 is a versatile, strong structural alloy — the correct material for crank arms that need to resist the bending loads of sustained pedalling without adding unnecessary weight. AL-7075-T6 is harder and more wear-resistant — the correct material for a chainring that sees constant chain engagement and needs to maintain tooth profile over thousands of kilometres. Using the right alloy in the right place rather than one alloy throughout is the engineering decision that separates a properly designed crankset from a generic one.

Direct Mount Narrow-Wide Chainring. Chain Retention Without a Guide.
The direct mount interface eliminates the spider for a stiffer, more precise chainring connection and a cleaner visual profile. The AL-7075-T6 chainring uses a narrow-wide tooth profile — alternating wide and narrow teeth that engage with the inner and outer links of the chain in a specific sequence, mechanically retaining the chain on the ring without requiring a chain guide or chain retention device. On a 1x gravel or road build where a dropped chain on a rough descent or technical section is the problem you most want to avoid, the narrow-wide tooth profile is the correct specification. The direct mount standard is also compatible with a wide range of aftermarket narrow-wide chainring options if you want to change tooth count in the future.

24mm Spindle. Universal Compatibility.
The 24mm spindle is the most widely used crankset spindle standard in the world — compatible with the Shimano BB-RS501 bottom bracket used across every Evercoast Passage and Seymour build. No proprietary tools, no specialist bottom bracket, no compatibility questions. The same bottom bracket that runs Shimano GRX, CUES, and 105 cranksets runs the PR3.

BSA 68mm English Thread. Standard Frame Compatibility.
Correct for the Evercoast Passage and Seymour frames and the vast majority of standard road and gravel frames. Q-factor 151mm, chainline 49.7mm — suited to 1x road and gravel builds running HG cassettes on standard disc and rim brake frames.

10, 11, and 12-Speed Compatible.
The PR3 narrow-wide chainring tooth profile is compatible with 10, 11, and 12-speed chains — covering the full range of HG-compatible drivetrains from LTWOO 9-speed through Shimano GRX 11-speed and Sensah SRX Pro. No chain compatibility limitations regardless of which groupset the crankset is paired with.

Multiple Lengths and Chainring Sizes Available.
Currently stocked in 172.5mm with a 42T direct mount narrow-wide chainring — the correct specification for the Passage Expert and Passage Comp builds paired with an 11-42T cassette. Additional crank arm lengths and chainring sizes available to order. If you need a specific combination for a custom build, ask at the workshop.
