Velo Orange Zeppelin Fenders, 700c x 52mm Silver / Black

The fender that earns its own place in the aesthetic of a well-built bike. The Velo Orange Zeppelin takes its name from its art-deco profile — a gently curved, zeppelin-shaped cross-section that reads as a deliberate design choice rather than a generic mudguard bolted on after the fact. On a Passage Touring or Passage Commuter build with a polished silver cockpit and a Brooks saddle, the Zeppelin in polished silver is the fender that looks like it belongs. In Noir it suits darker builds with the same considered character.

The curved zeppelin cross-section is borrowed from the classically styled French and English touring bicycles of the mid-20th century. It is a shape that has more visual sophistication than a flat or corrugated fender and more restraint than a heavily fluted one. The Zeppelin sits between those extremes with a profile that is distinctive without being ostentatious. Available in high polished silver and smooth noir black — both in the same aluminium alloy construction.

Velo Orange designs the Zeppelin for full coverage, which means the fenders are long enough to actually keep you dry rather than just gesture toward the idea of rain protection. The rear fender runs 120cm and the front runs 90cm — long enough to cover the full spray arc of a 700c wheel in heavy rain. Both fenders come pre-drilled for stays and the front is pre-drilled for a fork crown mount. The 52mm width accommodates tires up to 42mm, covering the CST Tirent and Maxxis Rambler 40C tires on the Passage builds with appropriate clearance.

Aluminium Alloy Construction. Lightweight at 650g.
Lightweight aluminium alloy throughout — strong enough to handle the flex and vibration of daily riding without cracking, light enough at 650g for the complete set that the weight penalty over a plastic fender is negligible. The aluminium construction can be re-formed if a fender takes a knock rather than shattering the way plastic fenders do.

Complete Hardware Kit Included. Mounts to Almost Any Frame.
The included hardware kit covers virtually any mounting configuration without requiring additional purchases. Polished aluminium stays in 5mm diameter, R-clips and screws, L bracket, reinforcement plates, stay-to-fender closed eyelet bolts, fork crown daruma, sliding bracket, leather washers, and detailed installation instructions. Pre-drilled eyelet holes for two additional bolts on each fender for increased stability. The hardware is finished to match the fender — silver hardware with the silver fender, black hardware with the noir.

Compatible with the Evercoast Passage and Passage Pro.
The Passage and Passage Pro frames include front and rear fender mounts as standard. The Zeppelin 52mm is the correct width for the Passage running CST Tirent or Maxxis Rambler 40C tires, with adequate clearance between tire and fender for mud and debris to pass through without packing. For the Passage Pro running 45C tires, confirm clearance at the time of order — installation available at the workshop.
