Developed specifically for mixed-surface riding, the shifters are designed to be operated with a fist full of bar in technical terrain, the rear derailleur has a clutch mechanism that keeps the chain locked on during rough descents, and the hydraulic braking is consistent whether you're coming off a dry fire road or a soaked North Shore trail. It is not entry-level equipment dressed up with gravel branding. It is the real thing.
